What Causes Respiration Issues After Falling Asleep And During Summer Evenings?

Question: I am currently experiencing a respiration issue, particularly on summer evenings , usually after falling asleep and during summer evenings, I find myself waking up short of breath and feeling panic. The blockage is usually around the nasal passage. The nasal passage feels furry, thick and prevents my breathing capacity. This means that I pace around getting increasingly panicky and calms down within an hour or two, allowing me to get back to sleep unaided.

Brief Answer:
allergic reaction most likely
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking HealthcareMagic,
I can understand your concern
As you explain the history it might be an allergic reaction due to an allergen.
The best thing is to find the cause of allergy. The following tests are needed for this:
Total IgE
Pneumoalergens
Prick test
For relieving the symptoms you can use local steroids like Flixonase(Fluticasone) nasal spray three times per day locally in the nose.
You should be feeling better soon.
Please discuss with your doctor for the above
Take care and feel free to ask me again
