What Causes Restless After Having Cypon Drops For Appetite?
Question: I m giving 5 drops of cypon drops to my 4 month old baby. Her appetite increased but she seems restless...is this a permanent appetite change?wat should I do now? Should I decrease the dose?

I understand your concern.
I do not recommend cypon as an appetite stimulant to my patients especially below 2years of age.
Cyproheptidine is antiallergic and increase in appetite is one its effects.
It should not be primarily used for increasing appetite.
Drowsiness is also one of its side effects.
I suggest you to stop medicine and give exclusive breastfeeding.
Get him examined by pediatrician if restlessness persist.

Pediatrician only suggested me that drops......my actual problem was she was refusing right side milk from last 1 week so I visited Dr n he told me that baby dont have any problem...I m also having sufficient milk in my right breast...then he prescibed me that drops,
