What Causes Right Abdominal Pain?
Go for CT scan abdomen.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
Have gone through your details and i appreciate your concerns.
Most likely you are having chronic cholecystitis.Chronic cholecystitis is long-standing gallbladder inflammation.Damage ranges from a modest infiltrate of chronic inflammatory cells to a fibrotic, shrunken gallbladder. Due to fibrosis and shrinkage of gallbladder your doctor was not able to see it in ultrasound.Sharp, cramping, or dull pain in upper right or upper middle of right abdomen is caused by chronic cholecystitis and is often associated with nausea and vomiting.Due to recurrentinflammation of gallbldder the gallbladder is atrophied.
Ideally you should go for a CT scan of abdomen.
Ultra sound is a basic test and can miss findings.
So initially a CT scan abdomen should be done and after that if cholelycystitis is estabilished as diagnosis then go for surgical removal of gallbladder.
Follow up with reports of CT scan.
Regards!
