Question: I HAVE HAD TWITCHING TO MY RIGHT EAR FOR SOME TIME. NOW ALONG THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY EAR/JAW AREA IS TENDER. I WAS NOT SURE THE SOURCE UNTIL I TOUCHED A SPOT AT THE TOP OF MY HEAD AND IT WAS EXTREMELY SORE BUT ONLY WHEN TOUCHED. THE PAIN RADIATES DOWN TO MY POSTERIOR EAR JAW AND NECK.

Brief Answer:
It could be caused due to electrolyte imbalance

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for askinng on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through the problem and understand your concerns. The twictching is caused by muscular contractions which could be due to certain imbalance of electrolytes like potassium and calcium. I would suggest trying supplementing these to see if you get relief. Juicy fruits like citrus fruits contain large amounts of potassium and you should take these. Also take calcium supplements. A number of brands of tablets of calcium and vitamin D combination are available and should be taken. Try these and see if you get relief. If not, you need to visit a doctor and get yourself examined.
I would also suggest you to go for regular morning walk and exercise as these are essential for healthy living.
Hope that helps.

I actually take the supplements. I have been doing Ideal Protein and taking supplements are part of the protocol.
Potassium, Mag Citrate, Resverotrol, Vit D, Omega 3, Probiotic, Ubiquinol, Curcumin, and a Multivitamin. I do have numbing impulse down my legs, arms and face as well since starting the protocol. Perhaps I will get some lab work done through the MD who started me on the protocol. Thank you for suggesting supplements and activity vs surgery!

Brief Answer:
Getting blood parameters checked would be a good idea

Detailed Answer:
It seems doubtful that surgery would be the solution to look for. I would also insist you to get your blood sugar levels checked alongside. Diabetes can lead to neuropathy and hence can be related.
