Question: Hello,
I'm consulting on behalf of my mother. Asian woman in late 40's. Experiencing severe shooting pain on right side of body only that radiates from the hip. Pain travels to the anterior groin and then travels, terminating at various points including the foot. neck, and head. Pain severity prevents sleep.
No fever, no jaundice.
Very sluggish bowel movement accompanies. Occasional blood stained urine. Recent (<6 mths) history of diverticulitis; treated with Augmentin and Arcoxia. History of scoliosis with fusion of sacral bones.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks,
XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
I will advise you to do MRI whole spine screening
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case.
Due to scoliosis there can be reduced disc space leading to spinal cord impingement
Due to compression of this nerve root there is pain in your hip and foot.
There can be associated cervical spine disc bulge leading to neck pain
I will advise you to do MRI whole spine screening.
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
