What Causes Right-sided Pain In Chest When Having Acidity?
For last 2 months, I get very mild pain on my right side of chest (upper side). Pain usually last for only 3-4 seconds and it randomly appears. Sometimes for entire day, I don't get it.
I have a history of acidity and I often take antacids.
I am occasional smoker. However smoking is not a habit....
What could be the reason for right side chest pain?
Anxiety relted- rule out the causes.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
With the history you have provided: right sided mild chest pain off and on, lasting for only 3 to 4 seconds, present over 2 months, acidity - taking antacids - occasional smoker - wants to know the reason...
This looks to be just a pain of muscle or costochondritis origin. Nothing specific.
This may be related to some stress or anxiety, at the conscious or sub-conscious levels. you can check yourself- press on the point of pains and if you get tenderness (pain on pressure).
But before we say so, it is better to rule out the causes by:
ECG, X-ray of the chest, and upper GI Endoscopy (as you have history of acidity).
I hope these will be normal.
If these things are normal, just have a physical / clinical check-up by a Physician.
If everything is OK, just relax...
I hope this helps you.
Sorry to say- there is no alternate treatment
Detailed Answer:
This is the fear that may be causing the pains.
Knowing something being normal is itself a part of the treatment.
You are just 37 years and should get a thorough check-up done.
There is no alternative treatment.
