Question: Hi, i recently took a hit to the left slightly of my center forhead near hair line from a small cage door being opened with force. I didn't have concussion but i woke up with ringing in my ear that night. Its been a week n half since. And i still have ringing in the other ear opposite from the side i hit my head, High Pitched. I went to the doctors and he said my blood pressure was fine and it wasn't from hitting my head, as i haven't been sick or had head aches. He said my ears are blocked with wax? could this be the reason? Or would it be something else?
Brief Answer:
Tinnitus, wax can do it

Hi there, Thanks for coming to to HealthCareMagic.
Sorry to hear about the head injury. From the description you've given here, it is entirely possible that ear wax can be the cause of the ringing in your ears.
But I would beg to differ with the physician that the head injury may not be related. I would say that is a distinct possibility. But the possible interventions for that are few and far between.
If the ringing lasts more than 2-3 months after the injury, you will most likely need to consult an 'Ear, Nose and Throat' Doctor (ENT). They will put your through a series of tests that can help determine the cause of the tinnitus.
In the mean time, get the Ear Wax cleaned and if you drink anything with caffeine in it, cut it out. (Caffeine increases fluid retention inside the inner ear and can make tinnitus worse).
I hope this helps. Feel free to follow-up.
