What Causes Round Painless Indentation On Labia Minora?
Question: My girlfriend has a painless, looks like a hole almost, on her labia manora. It's on the inside of the labia. It's like a crater. There are no other associated symptoms. It is not painful, not itchy. She didn't even know it was there. Any idea what it is? It looks like a small whole in the top layer of skin only.
Brief Answer:
Please upload photos , maybe normal.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
THanks for writing to us with your health concern.
It might be a part of the normal anatomy of the genitals.
Since there are no symptoms, I think that is most likely.
Can you upload photos of the area, and pinpoint what hole you are referring to ?
That way I would be able to give you a proper idea of what it is.
Please upload photos.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.

I don't think she would be comfortable with a picture and it's not apart of normal anatomy. It literally looks like the top layer was taken off. It is a round circle, looks like a hole. Is this some kind of disease?
Brief Answer:
Might be an ulcer ( sore )
Detailed Answer:
That could be an ulcer then ?
I hope you understand that it is virtually impossible to say definitively what it is, without looking at it ?
There is complete anonymity on the forum, so do try and ask her to send across pictures, if she understands that.

Okay what could cause an ulcer then.
Brief Answer:
Various reasons.
Detailed Answer:
It could be a stress ulcer, just like those you get on the inner side of the mouth or gums.
It would then heal by itself.
Herpes can cause ulcers, as can syphilis or some other STIs / STDs.
If she is symptom free, it is more likely to be a stress ulcer.
It is all hypothetical until I / some other doctor can look at the area, and decide for sure .
