What Causes Sadness And Tightness In The Chest And Abdomen While On Lexapro?
Question: Fighting deep depression on 20ml lexapro but still in daily funk ,tight chest and abdomen, putting a schedule together daily which includes exercise, cannot shake this dark cloud , I'm retired first time ever in this type of shape. Thanks

How long have you been on Lexapro at the 20mg dose ? It may take up to 6 weeks since the last dose increase to feel the full benefit.
There are other options for augmenting the Lexapro, including T3, lithium, bupriopion, or an atypical neuroleptic like aripiprazole or quetiapine. Any one of these would help you.
