What Causes Scaly, Red Circular Itchy Rashes On Elbow?

Question: Hi, I have this scaly, red circular rash. that itches from time to time. it is located on my elbow. please advise.

I can see most of the lesions are around hair follicles.
This type of presentation is seen in keratoasis pilaris a disorder of keratinization.
I treat such cases with topical tretinoin cream and oral vitamin A capsules.
These medications are safe and very effective.

The surrounding skin, yes probably. but I was referring to the rough scaly circular patch. Are you saying this is also keratosis pilaris?

You can use a mild steroid cream for the eczema patch.
