Question: what is skitzophrania? my friend has it

This could be diagnosed and have someone involuntary to a psychiatric facility by an emergency MD?

Although it is difficult to describe a disorder in few words but I will try to optimum level.

Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder which is often characterized by delusions (false belief), hallucinations ( perception without stimuli like hearing voices, abnormal behavior, lack of sleep , abnormal movements among others.

Few of patients with Schizophrenia have either decreased or increased movements of body known as catatonic behaviour.

Currently there are number of medicines available which help to treat it and most people live optimum life.
