What Causes Seizure Like Activity With Shortness Of Breath?
But i have these weird small seizure like things happening. They are very short. A second long. Its a surge in the stomach and chest and followed by a buzz/Electric charge in the brain that makes me twitch or jolt my head. They occur more often when i am going to bed but I also get them when i am still during daytime.
I have taken a eeg now, but this was during daytime and i had no seizures then. Just tiny tiny twitches of the head.
They Said no epileptic activity detected.
Now. Would they see anything on eeg Even if i did not have a "seizure" during eeg?
They are not painful but extremely bothersome. It also seem to have some impact on my breathing. As it happens it is almost like the breathing and swallowing is paralized for a Split second.
EEG during suspected seizure is necessary.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
I have read some of your previous conversations too.
It is obvious that these issues are causing too many worries, so you need a correct diagnosis in order to peace your mind.
EEG should be done during the suspected seizure in order to be sure about the true nature of your condition.
In addition, a brain MRI is necessary also to complete the needed examinations in order to achieve a correct diagnosis.
If there will be no abnormality after these examinations, we can consider anxiety and stress disorder as a possible condition that may cause such bizarre symptoms.
In such case, evaluation by a Psychologist is necessary.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards.
I Said to my doctor that i needed to have a seizure for them to see anything on the eeg. He Said they will see epileptic activity or any wrong with Electric in brain Even if i dont have seizure While testing.
Do you have any idea what this can be?
Frontal partial
Vit def or magnesium Perhaps
Thanks for understand. Yes it is very tiresome especially when i have all the other symptoms too.
Temporal partial.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
Regarding to symptoms you describe, if they are related to seizures, temporal partial ones could be most likely.
Again, EEG during a suspected seizure is necessary to be sure about the true nature of your condition.
Hope I helped you.
Greetings.
I hope that they will find some reason for this. I have taken MRI's before (after the "seizures" started numerous years ago) and that came back fine.
Really scary stuff this. Hoping that there is a explanation for this, that can be treated.
Not a serious condition.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
Let's consider the worst scenario in your case: confirmation of seizures, they can be controlled with appropriate treatment.
Since MRI's resulted negative, you should not worry about any serious condition.
So, if the seizures will be confirmed by EEG, treatment about them is sufficient to control them.
If seizures excluded, anxiety and stress disorder should be considered and treated.
Hope I helped you.
In good health.
