Brief Answer:
There seems to be an association

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through the details provided. Let me mention that there are two sets of counteracting muscles that are involved in any particular action. The set of muscle acting while you climb stairs is different from the ones used while walking down the stairs. These actions have a central input while the rest acts like a reflex XXXXXXX It seems that there is weakness related to nervous input in one of the sets of muscles and hence you are suffering from what is called muscle clonus which looks like seizure. Hence this is definitely related to the trauma induced ataxia that you mention.

Electrolyte imbalances trigger such muscle movements. I would suggest you to take plenty of juicy fruits (eg. citrus fruits). They contain potassium which should help. Also take calcium supplements.
