What Causes Sensitivity In Clitoris Post UTI?
It will take a few more days to heal...
Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,
I understand your concern.
A photo of the irritated clitoris is required for a more accurate opinion.
Taking into account that you have been taking cipro which is an antibiotic, I can say as following :
- the use of antibiotics is associated with candida overgrowth
- this is what might have happened in your case giving the symptoms of irritated clitoris
Keep good local hygiene
Wash with warm water and soap
dry well
Applying clotrimazole locally for at least 3 days can also be helpful
It will be subsided in a few days. If not or if it will get worse, then should visit your doctor again for further evaluation.
Looking forward to have the requested photo in.

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,
1. The redness you note on the innermost part of the clitoris might be partially related to UTI and possible candida overgrowth due to cipro use. This is also explaining why you feel burning sensation too.
2. The increased sensitivity in the clitoris might be partially related to UTI and to candida overgrowth.
3. By using cipro, the UTI will be subsided. While clotrimazole will help with candida overgrowth. Once such infections will be resolved, you won't feel the current problems.
Try to keep the area well clean before applying clotrimazole and after going to bathroom. Make sure to wash the urethra opening first, then, your vagina and then, your anal area after peeing or having a bowel movement.
Everything will be settled once the infections are well treated.
Hope it answered to your queries!
