Question: yes, I have apparently had many episodes of this problem when my blood pressure would drop suddenely and I would pass out. Now, since I suffered a hard convulsion and with a few seconds, went into a gran mal app. 6 years ago. After these things happeded, I started passing out from what I thought were seizures but in time, I found out my blood pressure was dropping to low too fast. Now I suffer occasional epeisodes of, as my Dr. stated to, I would have bouts of total loss of my thought process and couldn't talk. My Dr. told me today that I may be experiencing XXXXXXX stroke like symptoms with the strokes. He said I could possibly be suffering from petite mal sezures. I lose my thought process and can't speak, shake, can't write down what my problem is and at first I suffer some fear, then, some panic and then I get very irritated. My Dr. said this could be vasgal syncope. I stopped driving from fear of having a car accident. Do yu have any suggestions?

Brief Answer: I would suggest you to get EEG Detailed Answer: hello, I have studied your case and it looks to me that Your diagnosis is still not sure. When there is epilepsy , there should be a focus in brain. A EEG report will give us better information about this. After getting EEG, get a opinion from A neurologist. He may prescribe you tablet (carbemazepine, valproate or phenytion)according to type of seizure you are having. There are some seizures which can be improved by surgery also. I would suggest you to avoid driving, going at height or places where chances of fall is there. Keep information about you in a pocket , so in case you get seizure, somebody can help you.Let me know if i can answer any thing else to you.

My doctor thinks this my be vasgal syncope. Would you agree this is the possible cause? Or petite mal sezuires? I was never diagnosed with epilepsy and I have had mri, cat scan and brain scan and an eeg. Nothing was found.

Brief Answer: If EEG is normal then it can be psychiatric issue Detailed Answer: Hello, I think if MRI is normal and all other reports are also showing nothing is wrong in our brain, then we have to rule our psychiatric causes as well. Vasovagal syncope has very little possibility and it rarely causes such symptoms. Take care.
