Question: a year ago had an MRI recently my gynecologist urged me to go to a gastroenterologist because she felt my bloated belly didn't make sense, I don't have alot of weight elsewhere but now feel like I'm always bloated and my belly looks about 5 months pregnant and feels heavy like I'm carrying a football. I'm achy and tired too.

Brief Answer:
Hello dear. you require investigation

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. Welcome to HCM.

In your age group bloating and distension of abdomen must not be ignored. There can be several causes like dyspepsia and acid peptic disease, gynaecological malignancies like of ovary, tubes or uterus, or any other mass lesion, ascites(fluid in the abdomen cavity) and many more.

Not to scare you but many if these conditions are curable. These conditions may or may not be related to loss or gain of weight either.

A clinical examination is must. You must undergo at least a fresh ultrasonography of whole abdomen and ca-125 test to rule out ovarian malignancy. Rest of the investigations can be decided after examination.

Thanks and regards
