Hi,
Firstly thanks for choosing Health Care Magic for your query!

Bloating, and passing gas with offensive smell are generally caused by swallowed air or incomplete breakdown of food through digestion. When gas fails to bypass through belching, it accumulates in stomach and intestines leading to those excessive passing out like little explosions.

It is related to-

Eating fatty foods, which can delay stomach emptying and make you feel uncomfortably full, drinking carbonated beverages or eating gassy foods, eating too quickly, drinking through a straw, chewing gum or sucking on candies, resulting in swallowing air.

Belching or burping is your body's mechanism of getting rid of excess air from your stomach. It's a normal reflex action. You may swallow excess air if you eat or drink too fast, talk while you eat, chew gum or suck on hard candies, drink carbonated beverages, or smoke.

Acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can have the same effect. If stomach acid backs up into your esophagus, you may swallow repeatedly to clear the material. This can lead to swallowing more air and further belching.

In some cases, chronic belching may be related to inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis) or to an infection with Helicobacter pylori. Intestinal gas is typically caused by the fermentation of undigested food, such as plant fiber, in the colon. Gas can also form when your digestive system doesn't completely break down certain components in foods, such as gluten or the sugar in dairy products and fruit.

Gut flora is the complex community of microorganisms that live in the digestive tracts of humans. The intestinal microflora is a complex ecosystem containing over 400 bacterial species. Anaerobes outnumber facultative anaerobes. The flora is sparse in the stomach and upper intestine, but luxuriant in the lower bowel. After food poisoning episodes, toxins released by bacteria destroys this flora of gut and lead to various problems with digestive system including belching, bloating and increased gas formation.

I would recommend you to take the course of probiotics so that the destroyed flora can be replenished , once the intestinal flora will become normal, Gut mobility and digestion will improve and problem will settle down.

Proton pump inhibitor like Esomeprazole 40 mg can also be taken for few days to provide symptomatic relief in gas and bloating. Please discuss the options with your gastroenterologist.

Apart from medicines following should be done-

- Take two tea spoon isphagula husk with 200 to 300 mL water once while going to bed every day.
- Increase XXXXXXX warm water intake
- Eat small meals ,Avoid eating outside for few days ,Try to eat vegetable,Take a lot of curd along with food.

- Eat plentiful "fresh oranges" and "pear "
- Avoid COLD milk and and AVOID all form of junk foods (NO burger , pizza-even if its vegetarian)
- avoid beverages / alcohol/ soft drinks

- do some exercise (/free hand/ push-ups / squats etc.) early in the morning
- avoid carbonated drinks
- take 2-3 spoon edible virgin olive oil in the morning

Feel free to get back to me in case of any further doubts.
Thanks!
