What Causes Severe Anxiety While On Metoprolol?

Question: I'm on 25mg of metropol er and my doc wants to increase to 50mg. Having a bout of anxiety and it's causing my blood pressure to run a little high- 140/90. But when I'm calm at nigh it's 110/75 with heart rate 60. Do I have to worry about blood pressure or heart rate dropping too low?
Brief Answer:
Don't feel a need of increasing the dose
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir
After going through the medical details provided by you I would like to tell you that the normal recommended range of blood pressure for a adult is upto 140 / 90 mmhg. So your blood pressure is normal.
If your heart rate stays below 100 beats per min at rest and you don't have any symptoms like palpitations then in my opinion you should continue with 25 mg as increasing the dose to 50 mg can affect your heart rate.
I hope this information will be helpful.
Kind regards
