What Causes Severe Back Pain While Recovering From Shingles?

Question: I have had shingles for over a week, I am on famciclovir tablets the rash had gone within a couple of days but I am still in a lot of pain,the pain has now gone around to the back, feel like I,m getting a temperature again. I had shingles about 10-12 months ago.

This condition is called as post herpetic neuralgia.
Pain is there due to involvement of nerves.
Although the infection is controlled but it will take time for nerves to heal.
I treat such cases with pregabaline capsule and methylcobalamine tablets.
It gives excellent response within two weeks.
You can try this.
