Posted on Mon, 2 Nov 2015
Question: every single night for the past two weeks As I am falling asleep I wake up with full body tremors and my whole body vibrating and it seems like my heart is pulsating as well this lasts a few minutes and then goes away but everytime I fall asleep it wakes me up with the same feeling it seems to be getting stronger every night I had an EEG but the doctors aren't telling me anything about it and being very short with me and extremely unprofessional everytime I call them they are either on a lunch break or are not able to talk to me to set up further diagnoses, this is extremely scary to me and any information on what you think this could be would be extreme help I attached some pictures of my EEG results

Brief Answer:
Get investigations like polysomnography and MRI brain

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
The first possibility of seizure to be evaluated by further investigations like video deg recording preferably during the night or polysomnography. Also MRI brain epilepsy protocol may be decided.
Daily episodes of similar movements in night without any day time episodes may be less likely to be seizures and need clarification with investigations. EEG though showing bitemporal theta activity is lacking any definite discharges.
Other possibilities may be sleep related movements which can be recorded during polysomnography.
Is there any visible posturing, tonic clonic movement, uprolling of eyeballs, tongue bite, urinary incontinence.
Any previous such episodes , family history, head injury or operations?
Any family members if living with you may record your movements as this may be great help in diagnosing the disease.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
