What Causes Severe Constipation Along With Tail Bone Pain?

Question: I am 54 year old lady.I had to travel by car for 4 days.During this period I developed acute constipation.The stools became so hard and would not come out.They had to be taken out by finger forcibly causing a lot of pain. It seemed the whole rectal region would burst out. Also while travelling back home yesterday I developed tail bone pain. Yesterday night I took Hypericum 1M three doses at intervals of 1 hour each;but no relief.Today on the suggestion of my Dr. I took one dose each of Aesculus200 and Collinsonia200.I am having just5% relief with it.The whole rectal and pelvis region is very sore and painful and I am extremely uncomfortable. I had the problem of tail bone pain around 5 years back and an allopath had to give local injections.It was going all right till this episode that started 4 days back. Lot of distress.Please help.

Stool impaction.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.

I understand your query and concern.

As per your symptoms you seem to fecal/stool impaction which is a severe form of constipation. The tail bone pain is directly related to this stool impaction. Travelling can exacerbate all such problems.

Its extremely important that you have Rectal enema if possible to facilitate the stool output. This needs to be done in a hospital setting.

In case if this is unavailable at the moment, you need to have single tab of Rectal Bisacodyl now followed by another after 24 hours. This is extremely effective in relieving your symptoms.

Simultaneously you need to 2 spoons of Ispaghula husk in 1 full glass of water at bedtime for 7-14 days to prevent such attacks again.

Please note all the mentioned drugs need to be taken only under strict medical supervision.
