What Causes Severe Cough Despite Taking Medication?
Question: Hello Dr. Ratnesh
My mother who is 65 is having severe cough from past 3-4 months now. Delhi's pollution is the main reason for that. He hardly moves out of home.
Its just the dry cough most of the time (with sputum sometimes). He had been on anti-histamine and anti-analgesic from time to time. She yesterday completed the same course which she was taking for last 7 days.
He X-ray as per the doctor is normal. PFT test is normal, no problem with lungs. Her blood test report is also normal with little higher eosinophile. She is pre-diabetic as doctor says. He sugar report is attached. I can send the blood report as well if you need it.
Now ever since this allopathic course completed day before yesterday, it was a relief but as it got over she has started developing cough again. She will travel for a week in next 4 days from today.
We do not wish to start off allopathic treatment because of the side effects on her body. Rather want to switch to more of a permanent solution with homeopathic medicines.
