Question: My brain is ruining my life. i have just lost my job due to underperformance and my wife always accuses me of being hyper and tells me to "settle down." I used to be on ADHD medication but I stopped taking it because I thought it cured me. My wife and father both notice a big difference now that I'm off it and something's gotta change. I even just lost my job, because instead of working for 8 hours like i'm supposed to i just jump around and browse the web. Normally, tasks that should take 30 minutes take 5 hours. It's getting outting of hand and ruining my life and relationship with my wife. please help me

I read your query and understand your concerns.

From the available description I am not convinced with theory of ADHD cure as there is substantial disruption in day today activities. In addition there seems to be active symptoms of hyperactivity and inattention which are again hallmark of ADHD.

In my opinion the adderall can be restarted provided it helped you in past.In case the offered help with adderall was inadequate another option for ADHD can be explored such Vyvanse, ritalin among others.

I also like to add here that medications for ADHD are quite effective and safe so unless it is necessary they should not be discontinued without consulting your doctor.
