What Causes Severe Dizziness And Pain In Sternum?
Pain treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for your question and welcome to HCM. I understand your concern.
These are common symptoms due to low-ambulation periods. Although my index of suspicion for anything serious is very low, the problem should be sought in an emergency room. Even though you move a little at this time, I would recommend you to carry out slow movements, especially when you switch positions and also keep yourself hydrated. Due to pooling of the blood in the lower extremities, in cases of low-ambulation periods, the risk for clot formations is slightly increased. I recommend you a short (5-7 day) trial of over-the-counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), for the pain. If the symptoms are still present, then my opinion is that you should consult a local doctor or visit the emergency room.
I hope I was helpful. I am happy to help, if you have follow-up questions. Please rate the answer, if you do not.
Best regards,
Dr. Meriton
