Question: My 4 year old grandson has a very bad dry hacking cough. He cannot rest and no one else can rest either. He does not he a sore throat or fever or any other symptoms He was diagnosed with bronchitis in October but got an antibiotic in addition to breathing treatments and was only sick a few days. I have been giving him breathing treatments since last night around 8:0 PM and the cough is still not much better. What can I do to help ease the coughing???

Brief Answer:
Cough

Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
The breathing treatments are good and should probably be continued. The bronchitis diagnosis in October is most likely not relevant at this point.
You can give him some short term relief with an antihistamine like Zyrtec or Claritin, the same medication used for patients with allergy. However, this is something that should be examined by his doctor. A more accurate diagnosis, and subsequently a more personalized treatment plan, can then be implemented.
