What Causes Severe Dry Cough?
Question: I fell last night and likely bruised my tailbone as it is quite painful, but today I noticed a very bothersome dry cough has started. I don't have any pain when I breath, but not sure where this dry cough came from.
Brief Answer:
Possibility of viral upper respiratory tract infection is more.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, there is no connection of fall and cough.
Cough is mostly due to viral upper respiratory tract infection (URTI).
So take antihistamine and anti inflammatory drugs.
Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day.
Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Please let me know if chest injury is there during fall.
I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
