What Causes Severe Hair Loss While Neptazane?
Question: I am currently experiencing hair loss and I am worried it is from one of the drugs I am taking. I recently had a sinus infection that had to be treated with antibiotics. I took antifungal medication to prevent yeast overgrowth as I am prone to that if I must take an antibiotic. (I try hard to avoid it.) I took doxycycline for 14 days for the infection and an anti fungal 4 times during my treatment. I am also on a new glaucoma medication called neptazane for my glaucoma as I was having corneal issues from taking so many eye drops which dried out my eyes. Could any of these have caused my hair loss. It is significant.
Brief Answer:
Hair loss not related to doxycycline, antifungal or neptazane
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have gone through your complaints and your loss is not related to doxycycline, antifungal drug and neptazane.
It is most likely related to colchyrs which contains colchicine and can cause increased falling of hair on long term use or due to sjogren's disease as it is a chronic disease which causes loss of hair.
