Question: . Hello my friend been complaining about her head last night. She been under a lot of stress. now her left side face. an she feel tried. her age is 45. what do you think I should do. She won't let me take her to a er. Thank u doctor

Hi,

First I suggest you to give her an over the counter pain reliever like MOTRIN/ADVIL. If she has a previous history of migraine headache you can give MOTRIN MIGRAINE or ADVIL MIGRAINE as well. She should be having some with her.

As I understand she seems to have tension headache, if you can make her sleep with warm bath and good massage, she can retire for now and wake up fresh. You can deal with her other stressors each one individually with the help of a counsellor or yourself or a good friend.

This seems to be a better solution than rushing to ER when she is not willing to.
