What Causes Severe Headache With Heart Palpitations With Muscle Stiffness In Legs?

Question: For a couple of months now I have been dealing with heaviness in my legs and feet. Initially these symptoms were minor and were accompanied by headaches and heart palpitations. The headaches and heart palpitations subsided but the legs have progressively gotten worse. I feel heaviness and stiffness in my quad muscles that has become more constant and some days it greatly limits my range of motion. I can still walk and move around and some days it feels like the sensation is improving only to have it get worse a few days later. Have had clean MRIs of the brain and the lumbar spine (degenerative discs and some narrowing but no impingement on mere roots) as well as acceptable vitamin d and b12 levels. One neuro initially said he thouhht nonmajor problems but has since referred me to neuromuscular specialist who insee in a month. Only abnormal bloodwork whowed high antibidies for EBV. Any thoughts on what could be causing this or what to do next.
Brief Answer:
Provide more clinical details
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
As your brain Mri is normal and spine Mri is of less significance, other possibilities have to be considered.
Stiffness in quadriceps may be due to local muscle cause like inflammatory involvement, Joint related stiffness or may be abnormal deposition of substance.
Is there any thinning of muscle or wriggling movement in muscle.
Any sensory loss?
Have you got tested for Thyroid? CPK-MM levels done?
Any restriction of hip joint or knee joint?
Any history of joint pain?
Any other illness?
Please provide more details.

I have been having some muscle twitches that began about a week ago. They don't last long, maybe 10 seconds 5 or 6 times a day. No sensory loss. Thyroid was tested and reukts fame back normal. Cpk also came back normal. No history of joint pain in knee or hip although sometimes where my quads meet my hip there is a slight loss of range of motion. No other illness has occured during this timeframe.
