What Causes Severe Hip Pain And Cold?
Question: I recently came down with a nasty cold. At the same time my hip started hurting and it seems to come and go as my cold gets better or worse (terrible time of year to get rid of a cold) the cold I can handle but the hip sometimes hurts pretty bad especially at night and the early morning. After that the pain seems to mostly go away. Are the two related?
Brief Answer:
I need to have little more detail of the illness
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. Common cold is usually not causes hip pain. Your hip pain can be due to muscle pull or nerve pain. Before I advised you any thing, I would like to know little detail of the illness.
1.Are you having pain on front side or back side of the hip?
2.Can you tell me nature of pain? Is it like tingling numbness or fatigue like?
3.Are you having difficulty in squatting or sitting cross leg?
Please send me answers of these questions. I will try my best to help you.
thanks

The pain is on the left side of my hip, if I were to put my hands on my hips my left hand would be on the exact spot.
It's definitely not a tingling numbness, fatigue doesn't seem to be it either but that sounds closer.
Right now I have no difficulty squatting or crossing my legs. I might have to re-check that tomorrow morning. It seems to hurt the worst for the first hour or so when I get out of bed, or at night when I'm trying to sleep. I didn't think it had any thing to do with the cold, but I have never had pain in my hip and to them both at the same time seemed to coincidental. After I'm awake for a while the pain seems to go almost completely away till night again. Thanks
