What Causes Severe Itching On Legs And Eyes?

Question: I'm having a violent itching attack all over my legs and my eyes could it be from any of the medicine that I'm taking

Thanks for the query

Violent itching can be caused by some antibiotics especially penicillin group of drugs and quinolones. Please mention the antibiotic you have been taking so that I can help you

For now you can take tab allegra to control the itching and also apply calamine lotion generously to subside the itching

Im taking Azithromycin 250mg (also Id like to thank you again for your advise a couple days ago it really helped) I sent in a excellent review well earned !

I received an e mail of your review and I enjoyed reading it. I am happy I was of help to you.

Azithromycin in my experience has always been well tolerated by my patients. The most common complaint being gastritis and loss of appetite however literature does mention itching as one of the rare side effects of Azithromycin. I recommend that you stop this drug and shift over to fluroquinolones like leofloxacin instead. Tab Levoflox 500 mg can be taken once daily. Please approach your doctor with my suggestion
