What Causes Severe Joints Pain And Stiff Muscles After Having Bactrim DS?
Question: I started out with two shots and then was given 800–160 of interpharm generic for Bactrim DS, it's been a day and a half now
This morning I woke up with a pretty severe joint pain and very stiff muscles! After sitting in the hot tub for approximately half an hour I did get some relief however I can still feel the joint pain and muscle stiffness, do you think that this is due to the drug or the infection die off? I do know that if I had limes disease the symptoms would be normal? However I was tested for lines disease and do not have it. I am taking the Bactrim DS because of a very serious UTI.

No need to worry for Lyme's disease as your blood report is normal for it.
Possibility of bacteremia is more in your case. Bacteremia is due to release of organism in the blood stream.
It is common in UTI after antibiotic. So no need to worry much. You should take paracetamol tablet for it.
Also continue Bactrim DS and drink plenty of fluids.

OK what should I worry about the joint and muscle pain that I'm having it's pretty serious I have no range of motion any longer?
