Brief Answer:
Directly related.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

Osteoarthritis of hip causes or increase leg cramps in two ways-

1. In osteoarthritic joints the who weight of body transmitted directly to tendons and muscles surrounding it.

2. In hip osteoarthritis, its lumbar region which has to bear whole tension or weight instead of hip joint so here disc prolapse occurs and hence compression of nerves supplying lower limb occurs which cause cramps or fatigue of muscles.

So get treatment of your hip by visiting orthopedic surgeon,he may advise you MRI scan of hip.

Upload it for discussion with me.

I hope you got the answer.

Thanks,
