What Causes Severe Loss Of Appetite In An 1 Year Old Infant?

my kid is one year old. Normally he takes 3-4 bottles milk a day ( 500 ml total ). but from last 1-2 days he is not taking the milk and anything else and is totally dependent on mother feed. May be due to this he keeps on crying ( not much...slowly...can say that not in playing mode ).
as of now we are not giving any vitamin or other tonics to him. can that be the reason behind that. pls assist.
Stomach infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to this forum.
Can understand your concerns.
One thing to note here is that child is not taking milk for last 2 days and is also crying and not so active, this suggests that child probably has got stomach infection.
This episode of stomach infection needs to be treated. If I was your treating doctor, i would have given Syrup ofloxacin for 3 day, Syrup Cyclopam for pain abdomen for 1 day.
However, since the medicines in children are given according to weight, I suggest you to meet the local doctor for needfull.
If weight is appropriate for age, there is no need to give any multivitamin or tonic to child. Weight at 1 year should be around 9.5 kg.
I hope this will help you.
Take care.
