What Causes Severe Muscle Spasms On Calf And Shin?
Question: I have been having, intermittently, very severe and very painful night cramps and spasms in my feet (top and should), shins and calves. They can last from 3-10 minutes and recur in the night. I have been taking magnesium phosphate and rubbing in some oil of magnesium, which in the XXXXXXX has lessened the problem.
Is there anything I can do or anything that I am doing that exacerbates this extremely distressing issue.
Thank you.

Thank you. How much methylcobalamine should I take? 1000mcg or 5000mcg? I do take a complete vitamin supplement as well and do not wish to over medicate this supplement.
I had a blood test recently which was completely normal.
