Brief Answer:
Need to exclude meningitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and would try my best to help you.

I have noted your symptoms, and based on that we need to exclude meningitis (infection of brain coverings). It could be caused by viral, bacterial or tuberculosis infections. Prior to that, MRI brain with gadolinium contrast should be done.

For relief of symptoms, you can take naproxen tablets (for relief of headache), round the clock tylenol (paracetamol) tablets for relief of fever and ondansetron tablets for relief from vomiting.

Please keep me informed about your progress.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Brief Answer:
MRI brain with contrast and lumbar puncture should be done.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

I have noted the worsening of your clinical conditions.

As already stated 2 days ago, you require further evaluation, which includes MRI brain with gadolinium contrast, followed by lumbar puncture.

Please visit an emergency room, if you are unable to see your doctor with routine appointment.

Best wishes,

Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM
