What Causes Severe Osteoarthritis With Symptoms Of MS And MND?

I have just read the 10 early signs of these conditions and 4-5 of them are exactly as I experience.
I have had 4 total joint replacements and a spinal laminectomy with quite advanced OA in every joint in my system. I am concerned that I may have early stage MND until now I have put the symptoms that are shared merely to my OA ? RA. My name is XXXXXXX I am 64years old and have been nursing fulltime for the past 45years
The five symptoms I experience Muscle spasm, exhaustion weakness, numbness unilateral limb only, mild memory loss probable associated with too many tasks
undertaken at a time rather than planning which I now do., Depression controlled with SSRI's daily
? Simply put Are my symptoms more likely due to OA or early onset MND. IU also have 7 discs prolapsed some anteriorly and some posteriorly resulting in severe back pain and sometimes loss of balance
is it MND?

Good evening
Thank you for writing on health care magic
Well osteoarthritis, MS, and MND are very different diseases. MS normally affects the brain and spinal cord with no effect on the joints. MND or motor neuron disease affects the nerves from the brain along with the muscles of the upper limb and lower limb. It doesn't not affect the joints either.
Some people have a severe variant of osteoarthritis which can damage the joints and head them towards replacement. It is known as erosive OA. The only close diagnosis which we need to evaluate is rheumatoid arthritis as it is a treatable cause.
So it is a very different variant and if you are not observing muscle weakness you need not worry about ms or MND.

"Sorry I forgot to mention I do get muscle weakness particularly after doing to much or if my body is stressed as with an infection, fever or other viral conditions. It is mainly in the legs and they recover after resting.

Sorry for the late reply.
Well the management for rheumatoid arthritis I'd very different. You need to be on stronger immunosuppressants with regular blood monitoring. Yes you are write the joints in osteoarthritis can very well resemble rheumatoid but those are non inflammatory swellings known as bouchards or herbedens nodes. But trust me the medications are much worse than opiods with lot of side effects.
You probably have an erosive osteoarthritis causing quite some damage to the joints.
As for the post fever myalgia it is a very common symptoms after viral infections and happens in lot of people. For it I will recommend you check your vitamin d levels and get supplements for it. It will help in the problems you face.
Hope the information is useful.
