What Causes Severe Pain Beneath The Navel?

Question: Starting this morning, I have intense pain right beneath my navel every time I stretch. I have never felt this before and am wondering what might be happening.
Brief Answer:
could be a pulled muscle
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
Your symptoms can be due to various causes like-
pulled muscle, ureteric stones or your diverticulitis or urinary tract infection or even pelvic inflammatory disease or gastritis.
But to come to a diagnosis, a few more details are needed like any recent change in bowel movements, any burning sensation during micturation, or any feeling of heaviness in lower abdomen and any recently started excersise regime and any recent outdoor food intake.
Waiting for your reply.

Thank you for your response. I have had no change in bowel movement or exercise change. I have just been diagnosed with vaginitis bacteria and did eat out at a restaurant yesterday and felt a bit "off" afterwards. Should I wait a few days and just see if it goes away or go to a doctor?
Brief Answer:
then its gastritis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Then i guess its your restaurant trip which is the culprit.
You are having pain due to gastritis. I would suggest that you take a ppi like omeprazole or pantaprazole tablet and see if that improves the pain. If it does, you need to take it for a week to let the stomach heal.
Take care of what you eat.
