The cause it is the overstretching of muscles while holding a bad posture
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your health question.
I read your query carefully and I understand your concern.
What you are asking it is a common problem that happens to people who stay sit for longer periods of time. It is caused by the overstretching that the muscles have when they are in the same stretched position for some time. Problems happen more to people who have a bad posture, or a bad chair, or have to keep their neck in an unnatural position. The disbalance of the position of the muscles causes inflammation and therefore pain.
If I was your caring doctor, I would advice the following:
-- Be careful to keep a good posture, of back and neck.
-- Use Ibuprofen 600mg, 3 times/day (unless its use its contraindicated) for 2 weeks, after food, so you can decrease the inflammation and pain at same time.
-- Apply a local analgesic- 3-4 times/day, by massaging.
-- Exercises- I see you are already doing. Keep going. They will strengthen the muscles, so the posture can be improved.
-- Be active, don't overuse back muscles though, be careful when you lift weights.
Hope this is helpful.
