What Causes Severe Panic Attacks While On Xanax?

default
Posted on Mon, 18 Jul 2016
Question: I took Augmentin and 800mg of Motrin 3 hours ago, 60mg of Cymbalta and 10mg of Oxycodone 4 hours ago and 20mg of Oxycodone 6 hours ago. So 30mg of Oxycodone in the past 24 hours. I was having a severe panick attack so I took my Xanax but instead of taking .5mg I accidentally took 2mg. Am I going to be okay? I am very nervous about an overdose because I have Strep Throat and have been taking a lot of Tylenol and Motrin lately plus my antibiotics and my daily Cymbalta. Please help!

Brief Answer:
Some sedation would be there, no need to worry

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for writing to us. I can understand your concern.

2 mg xanax is not so high dose. You may have excessive sedation, dizziness and lethargy. Do not drive for at least 24 hours, do not work with machine until you feel alert. Drink enough water.

You will be fine soon. No need to worry.

Take care.

Dr Chintan Solanki.
