
What Causes Severe Persistent Dizziness?

Question: 5 yaers ago I started having random dizziness which has gotten worse over time . Now its constant . I feel like im falling forward a sometimes backwards . The strange thing is when I am moving I don't feel it or riding in a car . The minute I stop in the car it starts again . Its hard to fall asleep beacause im so dizzy . Please help !

In the mean time, drink plenty of fluids. Avoid nicotine, caffeine and alcohol. Take a multivitamin daily.
Get plenty of rest. You may also be able to take a medication called meclizine that is used for dizziness and motion sickness. Your doctor can prescribe this or you can get it in some over the counter medicines like dramamine.
