Question: Severe spasmodic pain in ear and areas around it. What is it and what can I take for the pain?

You are most probably having ear infection or refered ear pain .

Hi,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.

After reading your clinical history it appears that you are most probably having
ear infection or refered ear pain from throat / sinus / dental infection .

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice
get an evaluation done by an ENT specialist to know exact cause for ear pain .

Untill then , use Tylenol (acetaminophen) thrice daily ,
Saline nasal spray thrice daily ,
Antiseptic Betadin / chlorhexidine Mouth Wash twice daily &
Antihistaminic Tab Claritin (Loratadine 10mg) .

You may need ear drops if there is presence of infection .
which will give you relief .
