What Causes Severe Spasms In The Neck?
Question: I'm having severe spasms of the neck muscle into my head. I was concerned about a stroke. I took my blood pressure and it was 177/100 with a pulse of 70. I then took an additional blood pressure med and a hydrocordone pill for the pain also drinking about 24 oz. of water. what do you recommend to help me? I'm 83 yrs. old and female.

I do not think neck spasms have any link with stroke and so firstly you need to stop worrying.
Secondly for muscle spams I think using heat pads or muscle relaxant will be better choice rather than hydrocodone.

I understand that Tylenol does not help much in spasms along with pain but as I suggested heat therapy application relaxes muscle to great extent thus reducing pain associated with it.
In addition xanax can be taken as it is good muscle relaxant and help patients to sleep. Considering your age I feel you should take minimum possible dose such as half tablet of 0.25 mg as it have side effects like cognitive slowing.
