What Causes Severe Swelling And Chronic Pain Between Knees And Ankles?
My mother is suffering from sever swelling from the knees down to the ankles. She is in chronic pain and the swelling has been ongoing for several years. We have visited multiple doctors and there have been very few answers except that she is over weight. She is approx. 205 lb and 5'3" in height. She has a great with lots of salad and fruit. I can guarantee that diet is not the issue, she is getting the correct nutrients and vitamins/minerals.
I am unsure of what to do for her at this point. Is there a specialist that I can take her to? she is in tremendous pain and just recently (2 weeks or so) she is waking up with fresh bruising in the swollen areas.
(as if the blood vessels are bursting from the pressure of the swelling.)
ANY advice would be appreciated at this juncture.

It’s better to reduce weight by diet and exercises rather than medication. As medicine have side effects and reactionary weight gain after stopping medicine.
