Brief Answer:
seems to be spasm of muscles
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I m dr Alok , pleased to answer your queries today
With your history, it seems that you have a spasm of the back muscles. You need to take OTC pain killers (Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Naproxen) if required and rest for 1-2 days. You can also do hot water fomentation.
But if it is persists for more than 2 days and if it is associated with weakness of legs or numbness or Urinary or Bowel problems, you need to see your physicians and get a scan done.
Hope this will help

How do you defne rest? I have a series of meetings today but if I need to cancel them in order to get better I will.
Your answer sounds spot on. I had a very intense workout last Sunday with a lot of core work on an exercise ball. Can spasms be static? The discomfort is constant but I'm not experiencing waves of pain.
Thanks so muh.
