What Causes Sharp Headaches During Ejaculation?
Question: Thank You, I apologize if this is a bit off color but I have experienced, severe sharp and painful headaches when ejaculating. The pain circles my head and is almost debilitating. Do you know what could cause this? I am a white male 58 years old / 250lbs with ok BP.

Thank you for the explanation. I have never experienced this before and I was worried about what felt like tremendous pressure in my skull. I do not use either of the medications you mentioned. I have two follow-up questions:
1. Why would this happen so suddenly without prior history. Can you think of any other triggers?
2. Is there anything I can do in preparation of sexual activity to prevent this from occurring or reduce the severity?

We do not know what causes these headaches to start. It has to do with the amount of exertion associated with sex. There are no treatments for the headaches. I would recommend trying to improve your overall stamina and endurance so you you wont exert yourself so much during sex. What I mean is to start an aerobic exercise program. I will also suggest taking a tylenol or aleve prior to engaging in sex may help. I am sorry i don't have too much to add but there is really not much known about sex induced headaches.
