Thanks for posting in HCM.
I am Dr.Barani and I am pleased to assist you.
There are many different causes for chest discomfort and the treatment depends on the cause.
1. How long you have been having chest discomfort?
2. Is it right sided/left sided/behind breast bone?
3. Is the EKG normal?
4. Do you have cough?
5. Do you have heartbrun?
6. Why you say if you cannot take tylenol?

1. I've had chest pains, sharp, stabbing, continuously since my rotator cuff, carpal tunnel and thumb trapesiotomy (?) all on right arm December 23.
2. Pain is behind the breast bone but spreading outward sometimes.
3. Eggs both before surgery (12/19/16) and after Surgery (1/6/17) were "normal".
4. No cough.
5. Yes, heartburn, even with doubled Pantoprazole.
5. The palms of my hands started getting red and itching fiercely. P.A. and nurses didn't know what to make of it.

Hi,
Thanks for the additional information.
As mentioned earlier there are many different causes for chest pain.
Since the EKG was normal, it is less likely that the pain is due to heart issues.
Since you do not have cough, it is less likely that the pain is due to lung issues.
So it could be due to muscular issues or acid reflux.
Since you have mentioned the pain is behind breast bone and you feel heartburn, it is more likely to be due to acid reflux. But you should have got good relief with Pantoprazole. Since you did not get adequate relief, consider taking Gaviscon along with it and also an EGD may be planned.
Medications that can provide pain relief similar to the effects of tylenol include Advil. Discuss with your physician before taking it,

Dr.Barani
