What Causes Shock Sensations While Falling Asleep?

Question: I am having a blackout sensation as I try to go to sleep. it is almost like an out of body sensation. it feels strange to wake up from . any ideas?

It can be related to anxiety or a hallucination. Blood pressure and sugar measurement should be done at the specific time. If both are normal then its most likely a psychiatric issue. Sleep studies or EEG can be advised to look for any correlation with clinical presentation.
