Brief Answer:
Congestive heart failure, needs supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Shortness of breath at age of 81 with tripple bypass surgery in the past and coronary stents and left closed carotids is too much of a morbidities altogether causing this cardiogenic failure and congestive cardiac failure causing dyspnea.

Apart from the dilators , blood pressure medications, and platelet lowering agents, you may need cardiotonics like digoxin as well. Also diuretics will help with the congestion and reduce dyspnea. I would strongly suggest to pay a visit to your cardiologist and let them exactly figure out what is causing the dyspnea/ shortness of breath. They will do heart perfusion studies, ecg and echo at least and will know whats causing it. Mostly the supportive care will be adjusted and the medications will be shuffled and adjusted for the dose.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
