Brief Answer:
Information

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

Did this come on suddenly, or do you have a history of asthma and allergies?

If this came on abruptly, then please go to the emergency room. It is possible, in someone your age and gender, and particularly if you are tall and thin, to have something called a spontaneous pneumothorax. For that you need to be seen in the ER (or is it A and E in Ireland).

If you have allergies and your symptoms have been coming on gradually, it may be asthma. You would need to be seen by a doctor for this too.

So, I recommend going in to be seen promptly. I would be happy to provide additional information after you are seen and it is sorted out. Also, if you are willing, I welcome follow up of how you are doing.
